2022 Outstanding Dissertation Award from the Committee for Global Psychology, American Psychological Association

“Your research explored issues affecting some of the most vulnerable, marginalized, and often made-invisible persons across the global community. Exploration of these intersectionalities and contextualization of the challenges experienced by [Latinx Trans Immigrants] is both necessary and valuable…Your study captured the stressors faced in each stage of the migration journey in a model that will be useful to guide practice as well as policy. You highlighted resilience in the context of inequality and oppression, bringing a welcome strengths-based approach in understanding the needs of the participants. The selection committee recognizes and honors your commitment to social justice, and your ongoing efforts grounded in both advocacy and scholarship.

CGP is honored to recognize you for your work and pleased to provide a certificate to commemorate your accomplishment.”
