Dr. Minero is a queer, gender expansive, formerly undocumented, first generation and daughter of immigrants from Mexico. She values creating concrete tools/resources and sharing of her communities stories and narrative through the use of rigorous science. One of her missions is to make these resources publicly available in hopes of supporting 2-Spirit, Queer and Trans, undocumented, immigrants and communities of color directly and indirectly. While she hopes that these resources are shared widely, if you utilize or share her work, please ensure to honor her labor and intellect by citing appropriately. Gender Inclusive Spanish Activity Sheet
Dr. Minero created this activity sheet to help providers and clinicians with the opportunity to practice making their use of the Spanish language gender affirming and inclusive. This resource sheet is typically accompanied by training/workshop on how to make the Spanish language more inclusive.
Dr. Minero offers Spanish, English and/or Spanglish trainings that aid clinicians, educators and service providers on making their services gender inclusive. Content covered includes:
-Review of historical influences of colonization, white supremacy and anti-Blackness on the development of gender
-Provide practitioners with concrete skills and language for working with Spanish language LGBTQ+ communities
-Provide practitioners with practical experience and opportunities for using gender-inclusive Spanish
-Provide hands-on, intersectional strategies for providing LGBTQ+ affirming support and interventions
